The brand new redesigned iPhone 5!

“The phone that changed phones forever” was presented infront of the whole world on the 12th September 2012 with its very latest and the most significant version. It is the boy which will be changing the smart phones once again (wickedly). So we call it the bad boy. The bad boy with the massive and the most wickedly (positively) upgraded features. It has the most impressive things which the iPhones never had in the previous rows. The thinner, the lightest and the fastest of all categories of phones that apple ever introduced, is the iPhone 5.

This Bad boy is 18% thinner than the previous iPhone 4s and 20% lighter as well. For the very first time apple changes the screen size from its very first release at 2007. The world thinnest smartphone! It is featuring the all new 4 inch Retina display which gives you the resolution of 1136-by-640 pixel at 326 ppi. Which contains 18% more pixel than previous iPhone. It’s going to have 16:9 aspect ratio. That means widescreen movies will take-up the entire screen now. So basically it will be a taller display, not wider but it will be overall of a better quality, great for video contents, as well  Apps will have a lot more space to work with.

design image The brand new redesigned iPhone 5!

As far as going into the inside, it will have the latest A6 dual core processor, which is going to deliver twice the performance than the A5 processor. So ultimately the iPhone 5 will be twice as fast than the iPhone 4s!
Apple also included what they called “ultrafast wireless” into the new phone. Which basically means thate the phone now gets LTE speeds. It will be a part of the LTE networks on AT&T, Verizon and Sprint from day one, which is really great!
Even though Apple is going with LTE in this phone the battery life doesn’t suffer. The user is still  able to get 8 hours on LTE webbrowsing. They would be able to get 8 hours of regular talk time or 10 hours of video playback. So Apple managed all these entire extra features it still maintains a really solid battery life.
Apple also added 3 little microphones on the iPhone. One at the front, one at the back and one at the bottom, which really helps to cancel all the extra noise while you are talking over the phone.
Apples iPhone 5 still has the 8 mega pixel camera. But according to Apple they said that they improved the overall optics of the camera. It now uses sapphire crystal (“sapphire is renowned for being hard and crystal clear”) and supports dynamic low-light mode for sharper photos in the dark, as well as precision lens alignment. The module is backside illuminated and also has a hybrid IR filter. It has 5 lenses like the previous iPhone 4s and f/2.4 aperture. Their next generation ISP on A6 chip will use smart filters and spiral noise reduction technology to make the images sharper. The 1080p video recording also has also been improved with a better image stabilization. You can take picture when you’re recording a video.
Apple introduced the Panorama in the iPhone 5. The front facing camera is now a facetime HD camera in 720p.
Apple moved the headphone jack from the top, to the bottom.

They replaced the old 30 pin connector with the new lightning connector. They had thunderbolt and now they have lightning. It’s a reversible little connector so it doesn’t matter which side you’re pluging it in. Apple introduced IOS6 on WWDC in June 2012. So there is nothing new with the iPhone 5 running on IOS 6.  IOS 6 will have the same features running on the iPhone 4s, as running on the iPhone 5. But the iPhone 5 will be faster and it has a bigger screen than the iPhone 4s. As far as price goes everything is pretty much the same like normally the iphone upgrade  process. With a 2 years contract its 199$ for the 16GB model, 299$ for the 32GB model and 399$ for the 64GB model.
The preorder will start on Friday, September 14th 2012 and they will start shipping the new iPhone 5 at the 21st September 2012 which is the very next Friday. You can be either waiting in the line that morning to go to pick it up from the store or you can wait for Fedex to deliver you the product to your doorsteps.
According to Tim Cook the iPhone is the phone that changed the phones forever, but here what we see is “iPhone 5 is the phone that’s going to change the smartphones forever.” As it already did several times by putting the smartphone bar to a new limit. There are phones that are defeating this bad boy as far as the spec goes. But the iPhone will always be the king of th smartphones for sure. Well, as soon as the bad boy’s on your hand, let’s see what’s the best you can get from it. Just know that, when you own it, no doubts, you are the most fabulous one. Just be ready to be the magician.

iOS 6 set for fall release with Improvements to SIRI, New Map Apps and Passbook.

At the WWDC Apple announced the new iOS 6 which is set for a fall release. The new iOS 6 concepts will power the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. The event itself was launched by SIRI which reminded many of the time when the first Macintosh introduced itself to the world.

In iOS 6 Siri will give you live Sports scores and schedules, not just find a restaurant nearby but also use OpenTable to make a reservation for you. It will launch Apps and will speak your language if you speak Spanish, Italian or French.

As we revealed here on our iOS 6 blog Facebook will see a system wide integration like twitter. You can post updates to your Facebook wall from within apps or anywhere within iOS 6. Contacts will also be updated automatically using the information available on the Facebook.

With the new Do Not Disturb function you can schedule when notifications should not make any sound or visual alerts. For instance when you are sleeping you can make sure that your iPhone does not wake you up unless it is an urgent call where the caller calls you more than 3 times or allow calls from people on your VIP list to alert you. You can also set reminders to remind you later and it will create a Geo Fence which will remind you as soon as you leave a building.

Shared photo streams will allow you to choose which photos you wish to share with family and friends. Shared photos can be viewed on iOS devices, Mac or through Apple TV.

You read it first on our blog that the iOS 6 will feature Apple’s own Map App. This will be integrated with Siri to allow turn by turn navigation, 3D maps and integration with Yelp for business listings. It will also use crowd sourced anonymous GPS information to give you up to date traffic information.

Passbook is a new wallet app that will allow you to use electronic tickets and payment cards. You will no longer need to carry your ticket with you in physical form. Airline Boarding passes and sport event tickets will be available on your iOS device. You can also purchase movie tickets through Fandango and redeem it through Passbook.

A Beta version of iOS 6 is already available to developers. The new iOS 6 will be available for iPhone 3GS and later, second generation iPad and fourth Generation iPod touch and later.

WWDC in 90 seconds

We found this amazing video. Check it out! It covers the whole WWDC 2012 in just 90 seconds.

Take Note! Apple has confirmed Keynote at the WWDC on June 11 at 10am Pacific, Special App for attendees.

Today was a day of a number of announcements by Apple on its Worldwide Developers Page. A page specifically designed for the developers who are expected to attend the WWDC each year. The Page featured a conference schedule which confirmed that there would be an opening keynote at the Moscone Center on Monday, June 11 at 10.00 AM Pacific Time. Apple has already issued media invitations for the keynote.

There are no further details available regarding the keynote however we can presume that it will be delivered by Apple CEO Tim Cook. You can expect him to present to the world the iOS 6 concepts and OS X Mountain Lion. The curtains will also be lifted on the eager and much sought after upgrades to the Mac Line up.

WWDC2012App1 300x212 Take Note! Apple has confirmed Keynote at the WWDC on June 11 at 10am Pacific, Special App for attendees.

The complete schedule is only made available to the conference attendees, however it includes the by now customary suite of labs, sessions and various other events. These events are aimed towards helping developers learn from insiders the Apple experts themselves as well as an opportunity to socialize and make contact with other developers. The schedule also contains few “To Be Announced” sessions which will be clearer once the keynote is delivered and usually builds upon products and concepts which are revealed first at the keynote. An Attendee guide has also been published which will make life easier for conference attendees to plan their week, know what they should carry and prepare them for conference sessions.

Speaking about making life easy, how can they leave out apps which were built to make our life easier? That is right Apple has released a free multi platform app for the WWDC. The app will run on your iPod Touch, iPad and iPhone. The WWDC 2012 app contains conference schedule and a way for you to favorite sessions which might be of your interest, it also contains latest news. Also while we wait for Apple to unveil its own mapping software you can use the app to find your way to the Moscone center and watch photos from the event. Remember you read it first on our iOS 6 blog.

Google Chrome Browser to make its debut on iOS?

Safari is a great browser no doubt however when it comes to market share many users choose Google Chrome Browser to browse the internet. Many users would love the idea of using Google chrome on their iOS devices. Well it seems like the wish might just come true based on reports of iOS 6 concepts.

The Business Insider has reported that Google is working on a version of its popular chrome browser to bring it to iOS devices. It goes on to say that Apple may already be reviewing the app and if things go well you could soon download Google Chrome from the app store.

googlechromeonandroid1 168x300 Google Chrome Browser to make its debut on iOS?

The way things are now the Safari browser uses Google search engines to provide results for a keyword. Google is obliged to split ad revenue shares for search performed through the safari browser. This translates in to Google paying Apple around $ 1 Billion per year. If the Google chrome is made available on iOS 6 concepts it could lead to a substantial financial gain for Google not to mention an increase in its user base.

The challenge however that Google will face is that Apple iOS 6 concepts like its predecessors would not make it easy to use third party browsers like dolphin, Opera or Chrome. When you click a link on you iOS device it will open it using the safari browser since that is how it is meant to be. If you wish to use a different browser you have to take additional steps which would lead to inconvenience and thus discourage the user. That is the reason why most users prefer to use the Safari browser on their iOS devices.

Will iOS6 end Google maps dominance?

If the reports in 9to5Mac are to be believed Apple aims to move away once and for all from Google Maps with the release of iOS6. All clues available through iOS 6 concepts at the moment logically point to the same conclusion. Apple bought mapping companies such as Placebase and Poly9. Last year Apple bought the 3D mapping firm C3 Technologies. Apple has been known historically to buy out companies that are leaders in a particular technology that Apple might be interested in. This is to ensure that what they create is exclusively available for iOS users.

What will set this new mapping and navigation application apart from the market leaders is the new 3D mode. Though the 3D mode will not be enabled by default, it will be obvious and easily visible on the interface. A lot like the current traffic and pin buttons which is available on Google maps at the moment. This 3D mode is the technology bought to the high table by C3 technologies. It is based on de-classified missile target algorithms which is used by missiles to precisely track and destroy targets while avoiding other structures in an urban environment.

appleios6map3dmockup1 300x225 Will iOS6 end Google maps dominance?

The Apple mapping service will probably be similar in appearance to the Google Maps application which we all use. However it will definitely improve on it with a faster, cleaner and much more reliable user experience. It will also include a new icon which is based on the now famous Infinite Loop Headquarters in Cupertino.

It has been fairly obvious to tech pundits and industry observers that Apple has been working to reduce its dependence on Google in the mapping domain as suggested by iOS 6 concepts. Their acquisition of companies and hiring experts in the field has not been as secretive as they would like. Android which is developed by Google is a direct rival to the iOS so it is understandable that Apple wishes to ends it reliance on almost all things with a Google seal on it. They have already moved the mapping development in house and are using the GPS data of its users to create the database and structure which is required.
The first step has already been taken with the release of iPhoto for iOS in March. The Photo journal feature of the application makes use of the OpenStreetMap and other services. People who have had access to the new mapping app and industry insiders who do not wish to be named have claimed that the features will blow our mind.

All eyes are on Apple with the expected preview of iOS 6 at Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco. You can expect to get your hands on this ground breaking 3D mapping service and iOS6 along with the new iPhone hardware sometime this year.

Bring out your iOS 5.1.1 devices, Absinthe 2.0 is here.

The news many iOS 6 concept device users have been waiting for is finally out. The Chronic Dev Team has announced the release of Absinthe 2.0 which allows users to jailbreak their iOS 5.1.1 devices without the need to tether the device to a computer to reboot. Absinthe apparently makes jail breaking so easy that even your grandma would be able to do it.

Jail breaking a device allows access to a whole new parallel world of apps, third party software and hacks which are not authorized by Apple. It allows you to truly unlock the potential of your iOS 6 concept device for the future.

abs gp0011 300x300 Bring out your iOS 5.1.1 devices, Absinthe 2.0 is here.

Absinthe 2.0 would work only if your device is updated to the current iOS 5.1.1. It allows you to jailbreak all iPad models except the revised 16GB iPad2. This could however change in the future with support for the device being made available. It can jailbreak all iPhones from the 3GS onwards as also the third and fourth generation iPods. Many users have however noticed their CDMA iPhone 4 displays as iPhone 3 on the program.

Absinthe 2.0 is available for OS X, Windows and Linux. For users who have already jail broken their devices using the tethered option which was available earlier can now untether their devices with the help of the Rocky Racoon 5.1.1 package available through Cydia. You read it first here on our iOS 6 blog.
Absinthe 2.0 is a product of the partnership of the Chronic and iPhone Dev Team. The same team which released Absinthe A5 this year. The Absinthe A5 allowed jailbreak of devices based on the Apple’s A5 system on a chip which powers the iPhone 4S and iPad2.

The russian designer Anton Kudin illustrated a new lockscreen unlock method. Android users
are already able to install and use this modification.  He named his concept: fold to unlock.
We think it’s really beautiful and for sure many users would love it.

Maybe Apple can include it in iOS 6. The first official details about iOS 6 will be released in June on the WWDC.
